This is the kind of splint my orthopedist gave me when he told meI had no cartilage in my CMC joint, leaving my thumb weak. This provides good support for my right hand when I have to use my hands for handling things. The only downside is it can get warm; if your hands sweat, you may end up with some athletic odor that doesn’t wash out well But the support it provides is worth it.

For anyone who needs support for the hand or thumb this brace is a welcome companion. It was introduced to me by my hand surgeon and I've recommended it to friends with arthritis and/or other hand discomfort.

I have a combination of arthritis and carpal tunnel right at the thumb joint, which causes me constant pain. When I have this brace on, I can use the hand normally. It has a removable thumb sprint which I didn't need, so I was able to remove and keep in case anything changes. I'm very happy with this product. Plus it arrived quickly.
